217 WEST BOARDWALK, ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. *RENTAL IS SUNDAY TO SUNDAY*(With some exceptions in off season) Our just renovated beachfront cottage, "Mermaids," offers you a unique coastal experience in a vacation rental. This oceanfront home is located right on the coast with breath-taking views of the beach, dunes, and Atlantic Ocean from the front porch and upper deck. Within minutes of shopping and dining experiences, "Mermaids" is one block off the Atlantic Beach Circle - where both young and old can find activities to do provided by the town government. Due to the island's east-west geography, the unique ability of observing both sunrise and sunset from the convenience of both decks is available.

"Mermaids" is a three story home with enough space to spread out. The ocean view on the lower and upper level is spectacular. There is a hot tub and brand new grill on the lower level. On the ground level is the game room with a television and Foosball table. Additionally, storage of your boogie, skim, and surf boards as well as the washer and dryer room are on this level. The main level of the house has the kitchen, dining room, living room as well as three bedrooms - one with a King bed while the other two have one queen-size bed each. The upper level has two bedrooms - the first bedroom has a king with queen sleeper sofa and brand new wet bar with coffee station. The kids' room has three twin and one queen . The living room, second floor bedroom with king bed as well as the upper level bedrooms have spectacular views of the ocean. There are 5 TVs with cable in three of the bedrooms and living room and lower level playroom.

Mermaids exceeded our expectations!
My family and friends loved this place. Located on the beach and facing South we were treated to a beautiful sunset over the Atlantic our first evening. We found it very clean and full of charm. Centrally located was easy drive to get to restaurants and to Memories, our favorite dance club. The porches and decks have some of the best furniture I have seen in any rental home. The entire experience was very comfortable including dealing with VRBO and quick responses from the owner. We will rent it again!

Atlantic Beach Perfection.
This home is spacious, cozy and decorated perfectly for a beach vacation. Close to restaurants and bars and all there is to do at the beach. We loved our stay. Perfect for our family reunion mini vacation.

Great reunion gathering
With 5 adult couples the house fit us comfortably with common areas and decks. The kitchen was on the small side, but equipped well enough to prepare large meals. The beach access is great. Shops and restaraunts are walking distance. The interior has an old beach cottage feel despite the new facade on the beach side. Parking is tight, but I imagine we had more vehicles than most guests would have. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Awesome old school house
A classic Carolina beach cottage. Bedrooms and home very comfortable, and you can't beat the view from the deck. The restaurants on the circle are just a very short walk away.
