Description
This attractive, roomy two-story home overlooks a lovely man-made lake. Spacious, uncluttered rooms with high ceilings and unique decor with a southwestern flavor. Large windows throughout the house bring in the light and enhance the openness of the home's design.
As hosts, we supply the home with clean bed and bath linens and swim towels, along with dishes, cooking utensils, appliances and more for cooking and dining-in. We provide dish soap, laundry soap, liquid hand soap, small shampoos, toilet paper, and paper towels for your use. Please provide your own toiletries.
We also keep some basic spices and condiments on hand (dates are checked regularly). Bring or purchase whatever food and drinks you plan to consume during your stay. There are Safeway, Sprouts, Albertson's, and Fry's grocery stores close by. Bulk stores, such as Costco, Sam's Club and Winco, are also close; find directions on your GPS or call us.
Panoramic Wifi provides excellent internet coverage throughout the house, and allows for catching up on work or email, gaming, and chatting with friends or family who weren't lucky enough to come along.
Massive Master Bedroom Suite with King-size bed, balcony, sitting room with flat-screen TV, huge bathroom with walk-in shower and soaking tub, and walk-in closet. Three additional bedrooms include two queen beds and a double bed, to provide comfortable sleeping room for eight guests in four bedrooms. Main floor bedroom with queen bed and private TV also has its own bathroom; the two other bedrooms share an ample bathroom with tub & shower, two sinks and plenty of counter space.
Morningside backyard includes access to the lake (non-swimming), four-season, heatable pool and spa, comfortable covered patio with furniture for eating or lounging, large barbecue grill (gas), and space to soak up some Arizona sunshine. NOTE: Be sure to let us know if you want the pool and spa heated. (See details below.)
When you've had enough sun, step inside to air-conditioned comfort; or turn on the heat to chase away a mid-winter chill in the night air. The patio and all rooms are equipped with ceiling fans.
You'll feel the welcome in the inviting living/dining room combination, plus a sprawling great room. Enjoy a large, well-equipped kitchen area with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, gas cooktop, lots of work space, and a beautifully unique copper-top kitchen table. The great room includes a pool table and large curved-screen TV with internet connectivity and numerous stations, so you can watch your favorite programs. (The bedroom TVs are also flat-screen, with internet and cable.) Use Pay-per-view at your own expense, please.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in the midst of the Ocotillo development, you can golf the nearby courses. Use the paddle boat to fish in the lake (catch & release only), or just to paddle around and feel the pleasure of nature and blue sky.
This home is situated right off of both Alma School Road and Ocotillo Road. There are many nice restaurants and plenty of shopping close by. For convenience, comfort, amenities and access, you've found the perfect spot for your vacation!
NOTE: There is a $200 fee to heat the pool and spa during the winter season, when the days are lovely but the nights are too cool for the water to stay warm. The fee covers up to a week. Each subsequent week requires an additional $200. We apologize for this, but it's a necessary factor to swim in the desert in winter -- and well worth it!
PLEASE NOTE NEW POLICY: Beginning October 22, 2018, we will take the cost of towel and bedding replacement from the damage deposit if these are ruined during your stay. We apologize for this, but this is a home, not a hotel. Due to continual damage to white towels and to sheets, we find we must make our policy more strict. We keep paper towels and plenty of old towels on hand to wipe spills or floors, and black makeup cloths to remove makeup. The old towels for spills and cleanup can be found in the bathrooms under the sinks, and in the laundry room. Thank you for your understanding and for taking care of our home as our guests.

Beautiful home, wonderful stay!
Consistent with past reviews, great place to stay in Phoenix. We were there over Christmas, and the owners put up Christmas decorations for us, a very nice touch and much appreciated. Owner Karla was also extremely responsive to texts/calls. We have stayed at many “rental homes” like this in the past, but this one wins the prize as the best stocked – you had everything you needed. As an example, my son forgot his toothbrush, but in his bathroom was a packaged brand new one. Also, we cooked several meals, the kitchen had everything you needed. Wonderful stay!

Wonderful house
Recently we had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful and spacious house. We had 6 people stay at the property but it never felt crowded. The owner was exceptional to work with, response to email, text and phone calls were all exceptional. The location of the house is close to grocery stores and eateries with-in minutes away. The house was very clean and well stocked with plenty of kitchen needs. Everything worked well and the lake view was amazing. We look forward to returning.

Choose this home!
We stayed here over Spring Break with our 3 kids and can't say enough good things about this property! We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and found the home to be spacious, comfortable, well appointed, and quiet. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking and dining supplies we could need (pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc). The back patio was our favorite part of the whole stay. We lounged on the back deck while the kids swam in the pool. We also enjoyed taking the paddle boat out and watching the fish and birds on the lake. We were hesitant to stay in Chandler as we usually stay right in Phoenix when we vacation in AZ, but the area did not disappoint either and has good proximity to groceries, malls, coffee, recreation, a fabulous car wash, and In-N-Out :-) Seriously, you can stop looking at potential vacation rentals now... stay here!

Fabulous 1st time in Arizona!!!
This was our first time in Arizona, celebrating our daughter's birthday. 7 of us stayed in the house, more than plenty of room & fantastic amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and a lot of common food items. The weather was so nice that we spent an entire day in the pool & didn't need it heated. We grilled outside multiple times and took a couple of paddle boat rides in the lake. The location is within walking distance to a grocery store, many strip malls & restaurants, and a quick Uber ride into downtown Chandler or Gilbert. The house is beautiful, stocked bathrooms, pool towels, pool table, HUGE master bedroom, bathroom & closet. The owner texted me before & after our trip, she was very personable and appreciative - as are we for such a wonderful time! If I could make any suggestions: maybe a cooler, as we sat outside a lot and didn't want to continually run through the kitchen, so we filled a 5 gallon pail with ice & beverages. And, understanding what is recyclable & not in Arizona. We separated aluminum, cardboard & plastic from the garbage, and hope that was appropriate, as that is what we do in MN, bur realized we should have confirmed if that's the same way AZ does it. All in all, not a single complaint about our hosts, their house or the location. Everyone in our group offers their appreciation & we all agree we'll be back!

We took a trip to Arizona for my graduation and needed a house that would entertain the kids for the weekend.. Not only is this home gorgeous... It’s peaceful and will keep your kids occupied till they go to bed. The homeowners keep it well stocked and are just a text away if you have any questions... They are wonderful to deal with! Wonderful Choice
My girlfriends and I have been traveling together once a year for the past 19 years, and this was the nicest rental we have had. Plenty of room, very nice location and communication with the owner was easy and enjoyable.
