Cottages by the Ocean is a small, well-kept property of charming Key West-style cottages in Pompano Beach or the North side of Fort Lauderdale. The King Studio is great for up to 3 adults or two adults and two small children: great for couples, singles, small families, biz travelers. Less than 2 blocks from Pompano's sensational new beachfront - one of S Fla's prettiest public beaches with life guards. This is an historic property for Pompano Beach. Built in the 1940s, this small complex comprised the first 'resort' cottages when everything else was pineapple fields. It is also a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation for native and migrating birds and butterflies in a special program for businesses, backyards and schools.
As a multiple White Glove Award-winner, this property is very clean, with lush landscaping and everything you need in your home-away-from-home. Enjoy full kitchens, free Wi-fi, king bed plus sleeper sofa in living area, beach gear and a host of amenities to make you feel right at home. A coin laundry and BBQ area are also on property.
Miles of shoreline allow for long, uninterrupted runs or walks. Looking north, you’ll see our fishing pier (a new one is under construction) and historic Hillsboro lighthouse. Shipwreck Park, with 17 awesome wrecks including the 234-foot Lady Luck, is only one mile offshore. The beachfront includes a 'great lawn' with yoga classes every morning and monthly free live concerts and free movies on Friday nights. There's also an interactive fountain for kids, a concession stand including adult beverages, rental bikes, first-come first serve oceanfront charcoal grills and clean restrooms. It’s a short walk to dozens of great local restaurants, shops, boat rentals, diving/snorkeling boats, party and charter fishing boats, day spa, gym, pharmacy, banks and more.

We really enjoyed the accommodation at Cottages by the Ocean. They were clean and inviting. The checkin went very smoothly. We liked that the ocean was just a few blocks away.

Fabulous girls weekend of relaxing
Such a comfortable, charming, extremely well-outfitted house perfect for a weekend of relaxing and getting caught up with friends. Floor plan is perfect for a few friends or a small family or two, three nice bathrooms and comfortable beds and bedding. Great location less than a five minute stroll to Lake Michigan, close to breweries, wineries, and restaurants. We are already making plans for our next stay!

Perfect for girls trip
We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and all activities around Union pier. MI Retreat was perfect and very comfortable for group of 4. Loved the screened porch and comfortable sofa for conversation.

Girls weekend getaway
5 of my friends and I went up to Union Pier for a long weekend getaway and what a perfect choice this was. We had an absolute fabulous town, close to so many great eats and drinks! Wineries just down the road about 15-20 mins. Lots to do! On top of that, what a perfect house! Every detail was thought of. You can tell that this homeowner cares about her guests. LOVED the comforter on the master bed. The bathrooms were supplied with everything you need. Towels are fluffier than any Ive ever seen. Beds so very comfy. I would stay here again in an heartbeat and my girls are already picking dates to come back.

Lovely little jewel!
Bright, happy and very well appointed home with a short walk to the beach. Extremely clean and comfortable for a family of five. We loved relaxing on the porch and the fire pit. Jena was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend! Looking forward to staying again in this great find!
