Description
With the exception of the walls and most of the floor, everything in this apartment is brand new. From the cabinets, appliances, linens, and kitchen items to the mattress, the furniture and the paint, all is new. We have decorated it with a small part of our art collection from Mexico and Guatemala.
Located near the dolphins on Playa la Ropa, right next door to LOOT, Casa 4 Vientos is a 3 story home that has a private apartment occupying the first floor. It features a private entrance, covered patio, landscaped private front yard and a dedicated parking place. Although it is on the first floor, it is 13 steps up to the entrance of the apartment. It is a block and a half from the water-close enough for us to carry our paddle boards down daily, without a steep uphill climb.
The large one bedroom one bath queen apartment has a well appointed kitchen, with refrigerator/freezer, four burner gas stove with oven, microwave and coffeemaker and loads of counter space. We are cooks and tried to set up the kitchen with the items we need to cook with, and there is service for four of everything. There is a 32 inch Smart TV, and a dedicated router with FREE 50 Mbps wifi service. The windows are all fully screened, and there is a safe.
Once-per-week bed linen and twice weekly towel changes are included, along with weekly cleaning of the apartment. We include your drinking water, dish soap, and toilet tissue.
The weekly gardener maintains the exterior areas. You have a large, secure pet friendly private front yard. The yard has been planted with tropical plants, mostly heliconias and gingers providing wonderful flowers. Of course there are several large coconut palms too, an absolute necessity in the tropics.
There is a large AC unit and there are three ceiling fans with lights. There are reading lamps on each night stand, several seating areas, and a private covered patio just outside the front door with seating. We are also providing two Tommy Bahama beach/backpack chairs and an umbrella.
Lighting is very important, so along with the reading lamps on the night stands, there is an under counter light in the kitchen, and the entry and stairs are very well lit with switches both at the gate and in the apartment. There is even a peep hole in the front gate so you can screen any visitors!
A dedicated, free parking space is available by request on site that will hold any size vehicle.

Fantastic Rental
Great location just a few minute walk to the beach. Very clean and well stocked. Jane and Ray are excellent hosts happy to share advise. The best coffee right next door at Loot. Highly recommend this bungalow.

Location location location
They said great location and were correct few short stroll to the right on beach in 3 minutes ,to the right in 5 minutes but walking by some great viewing along the way. Use of beach chairs and umbrella from condo was a huge benefit packed lunch little cooler of beer sit on beach swim walk visit with all the great friendly locals read that was hard as so many great distractions small bogie board waves pelicans fishing and beautiful sunsets. Ray and Jane great host with helpful hints of where to try for dinner or how to get somewhere. As far a apartment has everything you need and private patio great kitchen big shower smart tv but we didn’t use it day on beach come home shower up water out for some of the best food in Mexico fresh fresh fresh didn’t have bad meal in 4 weeks easy shopping either local mercado or mega both are great Mega for more common items like a super store in Canada or mercado for unbelievable fresh fish fruits veggies kilo of large shrimp tuna Mahi Mahi or any thing else you wanted . Jump on collecttivo any where on the street for 8.5 pesos take you from one end of town to other past all 3 beaches but Playa La Ropa is our favourite. All that said can’t wait to come back next time for another great stay .wouldnt hesitate to rent this place again .If you do say hi to Ray and Jane for us

Wonderful stay on la Ropa!
The spacious one bedroom apartment is a functional blend of traditional Mexican architecture and modern convenience. Its location on the doorstep of la Ropa beach and the la Ropa bus route is perfect. The ocean is a mere 5 minute pleasurable walk away, and the combi passes by every 10 minutes or so and takes you into the heart of Zihuatanejo for 10 pesos. We have been traveling to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo annually for decades, but this was our first time staying in the la Ropa area, and we loved it! Jane and Ray are knowledgeable and generous hosts, eager to share information and perspective. We loved the apartment, its location,the peace and quiet at night, and the dogs Zihua and Karma!
