Welcome to the Hale Alaula Guest Cottage, meaning “House of early morning light and evenings’ last glow”.  Hale Alaula is an authentic beach front plantation Estate built in the 1930’s. The restored 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom guest cottage features vintage Hawaiian decor, a living room, a dining room, a  kitchen and a large lanai that looks out over a large, manicured lawn. Enjoy ocean views from the master bedroom as well as the lanai.

As you relax on the Hale Alaula Estate in Kekaha, Kauai you will be surrounded by warm tropical breezes, swaying palm trees, crystal clear blue skies and the calming sound of the ocean meeting the shore. There are over 300 feet of secluded beach fronting the Hale Alaula Estate. Revel in the panoramic view of the Forbidden Island of Ni`ihau in the distance. Enjoy spectacular Kekaha sunsets and amazing views of the stars as night falls on the Estate. There is a shared ocean side swimming pool and wet steam room on the property for your enjoyment.  During the day enjoy swimming, surfing, diving and sport-fishing, all located within walking distance of the Hale Alaula Estate. The Kekaha small boat harbor is located just minutes from the property and is an ideal place to watch the “local boys” bring in their daily “catch” or charter a sightseeing boat to watch the Humpback whales (December thru April) or tour the famous and breathtaking NaPali Coast.

Very functional kitchen and a nice covered porch. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Really clean and quaint cottage. No air conditioning but there is always a breeze to cool the house. We did not hear any roosters as Kendall supplied us with a box fan. Any requests to the host were promptly answered. Very functional kitchen and a nice covered porch. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Kendall's place is just as described and we had a wonderful time on the quiet side! The cottage is comfy and has everything you need and the pool is terrific. The location is great for all the south and west side sites - Salt Pond beach turned out to be our favorite beach for swimming and sunsets at Polihale are out of this world! Thanks again Kendall!
