Description
Jade Ohana is a spacious beautified home with vaulted ceilings and many large windows overlooking 18' Hapu'u ferns in a rainforest setting, with serene peaceful views whether it is sunny, misty or rainy.
Albeit we are in Hawaii, at the 4,000 foot elevation and being a rain forest it can get cool especially in the evenings. Our home is cozy and warm for three reasons; we have gas heaters, it is fully carpeted and all the beds have electric blankets. Also many dehumidifiers keep it dry and warm.
UPSTAIRS, is second story living, three bedrooms, one king and three full beds, two full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large vaulted living/dining room. Nicely furnished, two black leather couches with four recliners, a 50' TV, Cable, video library, wireless internet (Changed providers/ better service 8/2016). Now with a water filtration system for fresh drinking water.

DOWNSTAIRS has one large bedroom, three beds with a divider wall separating one bed from the other two (See blueprint picture). Also has a full kitchen and living/dining room and small lanai with large sliding glass door. Nicely furnished, two couches an easy chair, a 40' TV, Cable, video library, wireless internet (Changed providers/ better service 8/2016). Now with a water filtration system for fresh drinking water.
UPSTAIRS & DOWNSTAIRS can be rented separately.
Rented together they are available to sleep up to 14 people for only a small additional $25 cleaning fee! Please let us know if you need the entire home or just the upstairs unit so we can send you a quote.
This is a very clean, very nice, very comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay.
Only a little over two miles to the Volcano National Park. Turn onto Jade Avenue go down 8 blocks look for JADEHOUSE sign & there you are.
The JADEHOUSE, is at 11-3853 Jade Avenue.
Jade House is located in the center of the East side of the Big Island, with an easy 30 minute drive

Nice place good value for money.
Very well stocked, lots of towels, utensils, laundry, coffee, dehumidifier, etc. Thanks for the coffee, enjoyed it! Recommend turning on the de humidifier as it makes a big difference. The place is very close to the volcano which is a great plus. Also it is a good point from which to visit Hilo or Kona so great location. We had a very comfortable stay. We were a party of 2 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone.
Lush fern forest and everything as advertised
Rented a house in Kona-Kailua - double booked one night at the Jade House in Volcano for convenience. Traveling with my wife, our 3 adult children and their significant others. Easy to find, everything was clean, and a great space for all eight of us. The added basement suite for just a token cleaning fee was a great deal. Convenient to Volcano National Park, and a reasonable drive to Hilo and Kalapana to rent bikes and hike the lava. The fern 'forest' around the house made a big impression. Very quiet neighborhood. Next time around we'll spend more time on the green side of the island!

wonderful house in peaceful setting, great for larger groups
Definitely recommend, super easy to work with. We were only there a couple days, wish it were longer but it was to support some ultra runners coming thru. Plenty of space for a large group or multiple families. Loved that there was an extended area downstairs to rent.

Highly recommend to stay there
Wonderful house. Big, very cozy, beautifully furnished, in amazing place. Great location, ,very close to Volcano national park and nearest village centre with restaurants. Big thanks to owner. Merlenna was very helpful, She provides us with all necessary information that made our trip easier and absolutely pleasant. Highly recommend to stay there. You will feel like at home.

Great location near the park
We made a quick 2 day trip to the Big Island, so this was an ideal place to stay. The house was very comfortable and met our needs. We were able to see the lava after dark at Jaggar Museum and make it home in decent time. We spent very little time in the house, but it was very comfortable. It even had a wood stove for chilly nights. The owners were very easy to work with and we will rent from them again, when we return.

This was perfect for our group of 7! It was close to the volcanoes. It had everything we needed for our stay.
