I have been away from this site for two years as I was on other sites but I am very happy I came back to Home Away in 2019.
There is much more to add here but you will find what you need to have the best holiday vacation ever. You will be thrilled with this cottage lakefront property.
This 62 acre sanctuary of water and woodland is a step back to simplicity with countless amenities. Our cottage is private, 14 feet from the lake that entices you to swim and canoe and paddle our new kayak.
Morning Mist Cottage has been in business for 20 years and just keeps on getting better. The regular price is 349.00 for four guests plus tax. The cottage and bunk house can accommodate 10 guests or 11 depending how guests arrange their sleeping. Each additional guest after four is 10.00 per night per guest.
This cottage has been renovated with all the bells and whistles; new docks, 10 x 10 water raft, canoes with life jackets, a new kayak, firewood, outdoor fire pit and Geo Dome, swings and adventure in the forest for children. Everything is included with ceder sauna, therapeutic deep soaker tub with jet massage, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, indoor stone fireplace, propane outdoor fire place and our new round wood burning fire pit. Lots of space to move and do on this property.
The lake is good for swimming usually by the first of June and I have been known, as well as guests, to swim on Victoria Day weekend. We have a newly built beautiful raft. This cottage is unique to Nova Scotia with 'never before cut' hardwood and pine towering 80 feet tall. The cottage and bunk house are on a private 62 acre lot on beautiful Lake Deception Shelburne County Nova Scotia.
Whether you are a single person, group, couple or a family with children this gorgeous retreat will entertain and delight all.
Only twenty minutes away are pristine isolated white sand beaches heralding the sound and smell of salt water flowing with the tides, the River Hills Golf Club and historic town of Shelburne offering fine dining.

These prices reflect five to eight guests. Please go to www.morningmistcottage.com to check rates in full for 2 to 4 guests and 9 to 12 guess. Rates do not include the tax which is 15% in Nova Scotia. Cancellation. I require 2 months for July and August Cancellation. Deposit will be refunded minus 15%. During July and August if the cancellation should come within a month of arrival the 100% of the final payment will be paid. Shoulder season 4 weeks is required.

Easily accommodates eight people very comfortably
We enjoyed all the amenities offered at this wonderful property… Very homey and serene Beautiful lakefront setting lots of seating area indoor and outdoor fireplaces and all the modern conveniences . I would definitely consider this place for another vacation .

A Moment of Serenity
The first morning that I stayed at the cottage I found myself sipping a cup of coffee on the front porch, gazing out over the lake. The water perfectly mirrored the sky, and the air smelled of the pine forest. It was one of the most profound ways I've ever started a day. My family lives all over, so we decided to pick a place for a family get together. The cottage was perfect and Pauline has done an amazing job! Throughout our time there, my siblings would look around and with a big smile say "think place is amazing". Thanks again to Pauline for the use of the cottage and we all can't wait to come back!
