This quiet residential lane with wonderful, friendly neighbors is why we specialize in families. There are just 7 homes, and the lane ends at the locked beach gate. This adds additional safety for your children, and of course we give you a key.

We have a photo-voltaic system to minimize our carbon footprint. Air conditioned throughout, you will love our huge family and living rooms that open to the pool and yard. The new custom kitchen reflects our open island living with views of the pool, living and family areas. And, it is fully stocked with quality cookware, utensils and a starter supply of paper goods and fresh fruits for when you decide to to cook in and/or use the large stainless gas grill instead of eating out in Kailua's outstanding restaurants.

You can relax knowing that your little ones are safe, for in addition to being fully fenced, we will put up our Guardian Pool Fence for all families with non-swimmers and children under 6.No matter which door they go through, they cannot reach the pool.

From fresh flowers and boogie boards to a blender for tropical drinks, nearly everything is provided for your perfect Hawaiian family vacation. We focus on the details that are important to you!

Hiatt Hale will be made exclusively available to the renter for a full period of 30-days and no one else may occupy the property during that period. The perfect rental property where you feel like you're home

During our 6 week stay at Hiatt Hale, the property exceeded our expectations in all ways. Right from our initial greeting with Carolyn when she insisted that we treat her home 'like it was our home', ...she was always on hand to promptly manage any needs yet maintained a distance respecting our privacy. Each room was fully equipped with the latest amenities from the fully stocked kitchen to the premium bath products. Each bedroom had new TV's installed. The house was perfectly suited for the variety of guests that we invited, from our children and grandchildren to relatives and close friends. We always had a full house but never felt crammed for space. The recently renovated pool was a hit after spending the day at the beach. The beach was like your own private beach, merely steps away from the house. Kailua supplies all your shopping needs from food stores, coffee shops, restaurants (we loved the daily catch at Nico's just down from the house) medical facilities and curio shops. Hiatt Hale is surrounded by multi million dollar homes being built along the beach. The area is very safe.... you can stroll any evening without concern or watch the sun rise in the early morning. Honolulu and Waikiki is a short 25 minute ride on 3 super highways. The scenery was stunning with lush vegetation covering the mountains and the beautiful turquoise and blue water surrounding Oahu. We highly recommend this luxurious executive home where you can feel like you're in your own home from the moment you step through the door.

Easiest, most pleasant owner to work with

From our first contact through arrival until we left this wonderful, comfortable home after our month long stay, you have been the easiest, most pleasant owner I have worked with. This has been our 5th Kailua rental and by far the very best. All of us ages 7 - 74 were happy and comfortable here. Thank you for the thoughtful suggestions on dining, the abundant supply of household goods, and for making us feel like this was "our" home...even for a little while. We hope to come back again one day.

Outstanding home; Terrific owner

This beautiful home, with pool only 5 steps out the door, was incredibly comfortable, quiet, clean and inviting. The on-premises owner was simply magnificent, from the welcoming fruit basket to accommodating our personal whims and wishes to advice on local places to eat/visit. Photos above can't reflect the sense of peace and warmth the home offers. Our entire family was ready to chuck everything stateside and move to Kailua - in part because of the wonderful home and host. Would absolutely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends and colleagues. FIVE STARS

Great vacation home in Kailua

Hiatt Hale was the perfect place for our family get together. Our group consisted of three generations, 7 adults and three children, and everyone was very happy with our accomodations. The house was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The garden and pool were maintained nicely. The remodeled kitchen was great and had everything we needed for cooking for a big group. We all loved the pool, especially for the kids in the evenings while we were cooking dinner on the bbq, or when the wind came up on the beach. The beach was just a few houses away, down a private path. The beach break in front of the house was all sandy bottom, so it was really safe and fun for body surfing and boogeyboarding. The owner, Carolyn, was very gracious, accomodating, and easy to work with. We will absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Great place

This marked the third time we have stayed Hiatt Hale. It is a wonderful home at a great location. We felt it was wonderful the first time, but it has lately been upgraded and redesigned so that it is even better. The beach is marvelous and suitable for kids and adults. We love it, and hope to go there again!

Wonder Family Vacation in spacious, beautiful, house.

Our family of three generations: one set of grandparents (us), three adult children plus two significant others and one two year old grandson spent ten days in this fantastic home. So spacious that we never felt crowded, each bedroom beautifully appointed, new tasteful furnishings throughout, great kitchen, swimming pool with pool toys and best of all, a short walk down a private lane to the beautiful beach where we swam, watched sunsets, body surfed, surfed, and had general FUN! Short drive into town full of restaurants and a half hour drive into Honolulu. Best vacation ever!

Perfect home for our family vacation

The Hiatt Hale was perfect for our extended family vacation! The house was very accommodating for all 13 of us and was very clean. We had everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable. The house had lots of bath and beach towels, the kitchen was fully stocked and we had a wonderful host to make sure our stay enjoyable. The kids loved swimming in the pool!! We appreciated the new pool fence that was installed. The beach was a three minute walk down the quiet private lane and was amazing!!! We loved how quiet and private it was. The waves were excellent to body surf and boogie board in. Thank you for supplying so many boogie boards, we used them several times a day. The kids enjoyed the sand toys that you also provided. We found excellent snorkeling among the coral reef a few miles down the beach. The town of Kailua was lovely and close by. We really enjoyed the location of Kailua. It was a 1/2 hour drive to most of the sightseeing on the island. We would highly recommend staying at the Hiatt Hale in Kailua. We had a very memorable vacation and would love to return again one day. Thank you so much Carolyn for the house rental.

Superb Stay

Our recent stay at Hiatt Hale was superb. It is a quiet, scenic, private yet open and very comfortable property. It is also very well maintained and clean. The owner was also a good source of tips for visiting places on the island. I would highly recommend Hiatt Hale for your next stay in Oahu!

Gorgeous house

The Hiatt Hale was everything I saw in the pictures - only better! Not only was the house beautiful with large open bedrooms and plenty of entertainment on the inside (books, TV, Wi-Fi, etc) for those quiet nights, but it has a lovely pool and gorgeous greenery for sitting out poolside. It's quiet and surrounded by friendly people. The property itself is well-maintained, always very clean. If something happened or we had a question, it was answered quickly and efficiently and any directions or questions we had about the islands or what to do always had a great answer (we asked about where to get some turtle views and we were directed to a great beach where we got to swim with them - of course, they were swimming away but still a very neat experience! Saw a few whales at the same beach too). A few trees in the backyard even fell over because they were getting too top heavy and they were immediately taken care of and without a bother to us. But really, the best thing with my visit to the house was the beach. The house is only a few houses away from Kailua Bay with a private entrance (and better, a public entrance only a few houses in the opposite direction so you don't bother anyone for those late night swims). Not only was it super convenient, but the beach is AMAZING. It's shallow so you can go out pretty far, even with nubile swimmers, and gentle with the waves and not very busy (a huge draw since you only see the pictures of the crowded beaches when you look up Hawaii). We were provided with beach towels and boogie boards (along with other beach items if you wanted) - everything was literally right there so you didn't have to worry about bringing or buying anything. So convenient and it really made the trip even better than we had anticipated. The house has a great outdoor shower with a lot of privacy - so much so that you barely use the showers inside! The kitchen was brand new and gorgeous and a washer and dryer was available so we didn't have to pack for an entire week. A great, great stay (especially for my first in Hawaii - the standards are high if I ever go back out) and I hope to visit again very soon!

A spacious home in a beautiful setting, steps to the beach plus a pool is perfect for families

Carolyn hosted my family reunion this year and we had a great time in her spacious and comfortable home. The living space is really great and the large gourmet kitchen opens out to the lounging areas so we never lost sight of each other or the kids in the pool. Having private access to Kailua beach was a plus since most mornings we walked to coffee or used all the beach toys and chairs to just relax. We also used the large gas grill and ate outside on the lanai almost every night which is a special feature you do not get in many homes. I have been renting vacation properties in Kailua for over 30 years and lived here for 15 of those years. Carolyn is a wonderful host and always there if you need anything. She takes special care of her home and wants to make sure it is enjoyed, keeping it in great condition - the pictures barely do it justice. I recommend this property for families and for those looking for a large gathering space both inside and out with plenty of room for the kids and adults.

Perfect vacation, airy tropical home, beach and pool, complete package.

Spent a most relaxing, enjoyable time at Hiatt Hale. Our six member intergenerational family spread out in the 5 bedroom and 3 bathroom house with room to spare. We could gather for dinner or find a quiet spot to read. A lot of our time was spent in the sparkling, spotless blue pool or relaxing on the multiple lounge chairs. We had wonderful picnics at the outside dinner table. The gas grill was spotless and seemed brand new. There are 3 dining areas in total. Everything we could possibly need was provided. Towels were beyond plentiful, dozens for going to the beach( a few steps outside our gate) or in the pool area. The full shower adjacent to the pool after a dip or beach trip was happily used. The appliances dishwasher, washer and dryer are top of the line. Carolyn also provided a notebook regarding local eateries and sight seeing. The Hiatt Hale kitchen was completely outfitted with quality cookware, dinnerware and utensils. We did not have to make any small purchases. Hiatt Hale did not disappoint. it went beyond our expectations. It felt like home only a more beautiful tropical version. We all said we want to come back soon.
