Just across the street and one house down is the beach access to Clistles Beach, some call it Bikini Beach. This is a long sandy beach with deep blue ocean, and rolling waves. In low tide you can walk along the shelf of the peninsula to explore the tide pools and catch soft shell crabs. Walking down the beach a few yards is an open channel with a nice little swimming area for the children and those not so confident in the ocean. The channel is a clear path through the reef for kayaks and small water craft, snorkelers, and serious swimmers. This is a great beach for learning stand up paddling. Boards can be rented at the rental shop on Kamehameha Hwy going north by the bridge.

Laie is a small town, with lots of Polynesian Charm! The famous Hukilau Cafe, featured in a few films, is in the midst of the village and is a great way to start your morning. Serving breakfast and lunch, they are a favorite of the locals and visitors as well. Laie shopping center is in walking distance and features a 2 screen movie theater, grocery store, several fast food restaurants, and a massage parlor for relaxation after a long day surfing the waves.

Laie is also home to the Brigham Young University Hawaii Campus of 2600 students, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Temple. Free Tours are given of the visitors center daily.

The Turtle Bay resort is just 10 minutes up the road and features a world class, beach front golf coarse, tennis, and marvelous restaurants.

Gunstock Ranch is about 1 1/4 miles north and offers horse back riding up in the Koolau Mountains.

Laie is a great place to start your day and rest your head on your pillow at the end of a day filled with adventure!

Great location near many beaches and sites

Comfortable two bedroom close to many different North and East shore activities. Two beaches within walking distance. Food trucks further along on Kamehameha highway. Would stay there again.

Great location for get away.

This was a great place to stay. The communication with the owner was good and they were very willing to work with a schedule change. The only issue we had was how hot it was inside the rental. There was a small window cooler that kept one bedroom cool but the rest of the rental was hot. We came from an area where it had been snowing just three weeks prior to our vacation so we weren't acclimated to the heat. Other than that, The rental was as advertised and was a great place to stay. Great beach and ocean access and very near to the PCC and BYU Hawaii. Yes,, we would totally stay there again.
