Selah House
Welcome to “Selah House,” a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom multi-level mountain home tucked away in the trees close to Monte Verde lake and just minutes from Angel Fire Ski Area. This home sleeping 8-12 is ideal for groups of skiers and snowboarders, families looking for a private place with access to a variety of activities, or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the trees.
Location
Although this house sits snugly in a forest of evergreens and aspens, it is easy to access from the main highway for any vehicle (no 4-wheel drive required). It is less than a ¼ mile from Monte Verde Lake, 2.5 miles from Angel Fire Country Club and Golf Course, and 3.5 miles from the ski area with a variety of shopping and restaurants.
The Great Room
Enter through the front door into a tiled entryway, perfect for storing skis and snowboards, before ascending into the beautiful great room. This large living area boasts a vaulted, wood-beamed ceiling, large windows with views of the forest, a stone fireplace enclosing a wood-burning stove, and plenty of seating. It is connected to a full kitchen and dining area that seats up to 14 comfortably and provides access to a spacious deck suitable for viewing stars or wildlife. Alternatively, stay inside and view the game on the 60-inch flat-screen TV.
The Bedrooms
Upstairs, the master bedroom features vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings, large windows looking into the trees, a queen size bed, and a recently renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower. The three downstairs bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, share a recently renovated bathroom. The larger of the rooms also has a sturdy set of wooden bunk beds. Fold-out couches in the great room provide two additional queen-sized mattresses. There is a new full bath with tub on the mid-level for our renter's convenience.
Kid and pet friendly
The downstairs bathroom features a “potty-training” toilet seat, a bathtub with a removable shower-head, and a stepping stool for little legs. Upstairs in the great room, use the provided baby gates to create a safe play area for toddlers, or head into the yard where you’ll find ample play space among the trees and a small personal sledding hill at the back of the property (sleds provided).

Our time at Selah House was marvelous. Clean, comfortable, and neat. Great views. Very close to the resort, trails, grocery, and lake. The owners were great to work with and if anything the pictures understated the beauty of the location. We greatly enjoyed our time there and will definitely choose Selah House next time.

Selah House was perfect!
Reservation was easy, owners are friendly and helpful. Selah House is even better in person than the pics. The house is warm and cozy with lots of space. The area is beautiful and the people in town were super friendly. Our family had a great time and we'd definitely come back again.

Cozy Get-Away Close to Slopes!
Our extended family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Selah House. It is in a beautiful wooded setting, literally just an easy 5 minute drive from the ski area. The kids loved playing in the snow in the woods around the house, and adults enjoyed the great variety of wildlife - birds and squirrels right on the deck, and mule deer in the woods. The great room was cozy and spacious, as was the master bedroom and private bath. I will note that it is a split level house, so stairs are required to get around in the house. The 4 kids comfortably shared the large downstairs bedroom with the TV and Wii. A third bathroom would have made mornings a little easier, but it was manageable. Overall, a great place to stay!

A most peaceful & fun vacation!
We had an amazing time on this vacation. The accommodations were so well kept and clean. Instructions were clear and we had no trouble with any of the details. The neighborhood was quiet with a beautiful lake in walking distance. As we'd walk we'd see wild deer along the way. We felt like we could just relax and enjoy a time of rest. The weather was perfect in the summer for outdoor activities. There are many local trails that are nice(all fitness levels), and we drove about 10/15 min for a hike up a mountain with a nice 40ft waterfall at the top. I can't recommend this trip enough! What a blessing.

Selah House
We stayed at Selah House Memorial Day week end. There were 7 adults in our party. We were all very comfortable and had more than enough room for all of us! We enjoyed evenings on the deck and beautiful scenery. The Selah House met our needs beautifully! There were a few more stairs than I had anticipated, but we were able to work with it. If all my siblings decide to do this again, we will be back at Selah House!!!

Multi-family getaway
Selah House, the name says it all. What a perfect place to pause from life and rest. We pushed the limits to the max with a large group of 10 adults and 3 children but never felt crowded. The house was very clean and well stocked. The great room is wonderfully spacious with beautiful views and the bedrooms are comfortable with more than enough pillows and extra blankets. Did I mention the herd of Elk that graced us with their presence both evenings by the lake? If I had to state a negative it would be that the garage is small but it was a non-issue for us with plenty of available parking. The owners are accommodating and gracious, you will love staying at the Selah House.

GONZALEZ VACATION
We had a grt stay when we got there it was freezing and the house was so cozy and warm. Thank you for sharing your place with us the pics do not do it justice . Vaults ceilings, very comfortable beds, beautiful scenery. Everything you ask for and more. We would recommend this place except we want it available for our next trip. Family Christmas Vacation
We had an awesome family Christmas vacation here. First white Christmas and couldn't have picked a better location. Everything was within easy driving distance. Family of 12 and plenty of room for all in the house. House was exactly as described by owners. The sledding hill behind the house was definitely an awesome bonus for the kids. The owners were great to work with. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great cabin near the lake and trails!
Mark was extremely accomodating! We ended up going later than originally planned so Angel Fire was already closed, which was a shame because it's so close! The lake and trails are just a short walk away though. They left the lights and heat on when we arrived :) The house was really spacious and nice!!
