Best location in Rocky Point hands down! Beautiful place!

House is great! Has everything you need to have the best vacation. Security is great and helpful. You have direct access to the beach and not too far from action in RP. Do not think twice in booking this beautiful home!

Amazing Beach House!

Wow! What an amazing Beach House this was! Went with a couple families with kids ranging in age from 4 to 17 and it was perfect! The house is everything it says it is and more! Accommodations were perfect. Right on the sand, easy to go back and forth from the surf to grab drinks, etc. We could even sit on the patio and watch the kids by the water, it's that close. The tide going out was for sure the best as we took our pop up and set up camp on the sand bar that appears right in front of the house every day. Kids could wade far out with water up to their knees only. we played Bocce on that sand bar, it was so smooth! House is clean, layout is very open, spacious and bright. It was also well stocked which was super helpful! 7 minute drive to the grocery store also came in handy! Boan is super easy to communicate with and responded within the hour every time! Sometimes even within minutes. You will be right on Sandy Beach which has plenty of activities for everyone. we rented Jet ski's and Banana Boat ride and one morning we took Quads out on the dunes. It's all right there! We all kept saying to each other how perfect this place was for what we were looking for in our vacation. We will book this house again for sure. Now other people who have seen our pics and heard all about it want to go too. Highly recommend Villa Emilia!! Thank you, Boan, for hosting us! We will be back next summer!

Best vacation EVER!!

The views and amenities in this house are off the charts! The beach is steps from your living room, we could let the children play in the sand — even the surf and watch them the whole time. The beds are comfortable, the house has incredible views and it feels like our home in America. Between the beach, ATV, wave runners, games and endless laughs we had the time of our lives. We felt secure as there was 24/7 security and it is in a gated neighborhood. Netflix and DirectTV were a plus after getting tired of all the fun in the beach. We almost did not go because we thought it would be too hot in August. It was hot but between the beach pools and a cool house we were so glad we went—besides it’s a lot hotter in Phoenix and the is no beach there. Our only complaint was our inability to stay longer. We WILL be back!

Beautiful modern home

First time here and we absolutely loved it. The master bedroom is extra nice!

Excellent location, very nice house!

Beautiful views, nicely constructed house, secure location, right on the beach!

Great location. Beautiful property. The accommodations were perfect for our family.

We enjoyed staying at the property as a family. The amenities were just as described. The house was clean and ready for our arrival and stay.

Great house, beautiful views right on the beach.

Very spacious house right on the beach and accessible to downtown and other activities. Owner was very accommodating. Would rent again for sure

Beautiful place with beautiful views! Perfect location!

Ive stayed here a few times now and im never disappointed! Place is always clean has the best views and everything you need. If you need to go to the store, restuarant, or out for some fun its only minutes away. The property is close to everything.

Perfect Setting with Super Responsive Owner

We had a fantastic time. The check in process was smooth and the house was well-appointed. The views and location were fabulous and any occasion that we needed to contact the owner before or during our stay, he responded incredibly fast. We look forward to our next stay.

Great place, accessible owner, very helpful! Everything we needed for a great time!

AMAZING CABIN RETREAT

The owner of the cabin was very helpful in the booking and was putting the final touches on the place when we arrived for our stay. The cabin is a perfect communal spot for a ski group outing at Whitewater, Salmo/Creston Pass or Salmo ski hill - tons of skiing and amazing scenery in a close proximity. The cabin has the perfect amount of amenities, is clean, charming and laid out very well. I would highly recommend to anyone headed to Nelson with friends or family.

New Years stay at kootenay huts

We really enjoyed our stay at the kootenay huts. The huts are quite beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The hut was warm and cozy and comfortably housed 5 guests. The wood fired hot tub was a great addition to our stay. The owners were very accommodating and helped us to set up a projector screen for streaming television. We had some trouble with the Internet connection, but it worked for most of our stay. The town was very close, a 15 minute walk, and we enjoyed many nights at the historic Ymir hotel. The free cross country trails in Ymir were a lovely outing, as well as the many trails on the property. I would strongly recommend the kootenay hits for anyone looking for a quiet stay and isn't planning on driving to Nelson regularly.

Forest Hut Ideal

Very nice new building. Located ten minutes from Whitewater and only 45 min from Red Mountain ski resort.Private cabins with kitchens and fireplace. Nice not to have TV, but good to have internet, as our rogers cell phones did not work in the area. Dined at YMIR Hotel, lots of character ! Shopped at Kootenay Coop in Nelson, lots of organic and interesting food to take back enjoy. Enjoyed xcross country skiing at Cottonwood Lake picnic site. Great site for outdoor types

Cold Smoke festival

The listing description was accurate, it was easy to find the hut ... and from the first moment we love it there. Property was clean, lights on, door open and welcome notice. The hut is for "ordinary" nature lovers.Simple, with everything you need before or after day of skiing. We cooked dinners, used hot tub, took showers. We missed only "rope" for drying our ski socks, gloves etc. Skiing was unbelievable that weekend, race was also very good, Stano and Eric took first and second place, Katka and Martin were first in junior category. Jakub /10 years old/ had lot of fun trying wider skis and his parents Jara and Rasto enjoyed tree skiing ... Nobody wanted to go back home. Dreaming about next Christmas or spring break. Thank you so much.

An amazing holiday retreat

All of our family, including 4 young children and 2 dogs, had an amazing time in this beautiful cabin. We arrived during the heat of the summer-- and to our pleasant surprise-- we found this cabin to always be cool and comfortable. It was very clean and accomodating-- all of us had lots of space. Such a beautiful location as well--- right in the middle of the forest-- with birds, trees, wild flowers .. the perfect escape... There was lots for us to do in the surrounding areas including hiking, swimming in lakes, shopping, and biking. We would definitely love to visit again!

Quiet cabin

Perfect setup. Quiet and peaceful. Owners are very responsive. Rustic simplicity. Has everything you need (including wifi - which the 15 yr. old put to the test...and a straightforward wood stove - which the 46 yr. old put to the test).

A convenient place!

It is a convenient and cozy place. We really enjoyed our three night stay the last year. We plan to rent it again for holidays.

Kootney Huts

It's a nice little cabin not far from Nelson. It's right by the highway so you do hear some of the traffic when you are there. It's definitely geared more towards winter use as it gets really hot inside with the warmer summer weather and the windows don't have screens which means that in order to have the windows open to cool the place down you will have to let some of the flying insects in. Not a major problem as you sill busy doing things outside of the cabin all day anyways. Inside there's a sitting area with a couch, a loveseat, two chairs and the wood burning stove. there is also a table perfect for puzzles and games. There are two bedrooms on one side of the cabin each with plenty of space for people to sleep. Each bunk has it's own light so you don't need to worry about turning on the light for the room and waking everybody else up. I found the beds to be quite comfortable and clean. The kitchen has plenty of space for everything that you would need to bring. I has everything you need for utensils, cookware, dishes and glasses. It also has a coffee maker if you need something to get you going in the morning and it has a kettle and a steeping pot for tea. It also has all the cleaning supplies that you will need. It has a bathroom right by the entrance that was nice and clean upon arrival. It has some storage under the sink and cleaning supplies are provided if they are required. It has a nice little shower with plenty of room for all of your soaps and shampoo which you will need to provide yourself. There are lots of areas to go hiking and biking nearby and there is also the lake in Nelson. There is a secluded beach that you can do a 6km hike to and enjoy the lake away from the busy main beach in town.

Awesome Place to Stay!

This is such a great place stay with the whole family. We had a family of four and two adults and had plenty of room. We enjoyed the wood burning hot tub three times! The cabin is so close to White Water ski Resort and Salmo Ski Hill. The fact that we could drive 20 mins to the ski hill and still have lots of morning time with family was great! We also enjoyed snowshoeing out the back door on the cabins forested property. If you are looking for a relaxing time away this is the place! Also visiting the tiny town of Ymir was a treat!

Awesome!

We loved the little cabin in Ymir. It was the perfect location for a weekend of skiing at Whitewater. The kids loved it too!

Amazing getaway cabin with everything you could possible want to be comfortable.

This was my first trip to this property and I would return in a heartbeat if I'm ever in Ymir again. The cabin is absolutely beautiful high vaulted ceilings and a rustic charm with all of the detailed wood work that makes the cabin a must stay after skiing hard at Whitewater resort for the day. The wood fired hot tub was a blast. The owner generously filled the tub before we got there and supplied plenty of wood. We then fired up the tub and were in heaven a few hours later. Thanks again for a wonderful place to stay.

Little Cabin in the woods !

My family rented this cabin with my parents in the July when it was very warm weather. We loved the area and the trees kept the cabins very cool during the day, but the hammocks on the front porch stole the show ! Curl up with a good book and I could stay there all day long ! Not that far from Nelson, to go shopping our site seeing. Nice place to relax and unplug from technology and spend time with our family !

Lovely stay in a gorgeous area

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The photos don't do justice to the obvious care put into the place. It had everything we needed for our stay. The hammocks on the front porch were a really nice addition. We relaxed with our coffees and watched the hares gathering on the front lawn for their morning breaky :) The beds were very comfortable although difficult to get into and out of (bare feet on the ladder was nat fun). The towels and wash clothes also need changing as they were sour smelling when wet.

A grate place for a get-away.

Very comfortable and well equipped. The wood stove is efficient and lots of fun. Both of us and the two dogs had enjoyed a really good time. Overall, highly recommended. The only minor unexpected things were the two rental cabins are a bit too close to each other and the noise from Highway 6 was kind of loud.

Wonderful spot and hosts

This easy to heat house, packs in a lot of people and exploration. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for big meals. The hot tub was great to use after a day of skiing! totally responsible dog friendly! Ymir has an understated and dignified place to stay. Our needs were met easily with a quick trip into Salma and then Stagleap park met all our backcountry needs. The worst thing about our stay was the VBRO website is funky but contacting the owners directly aided us through it!!

Ymir Paradise

Arriving at The Kootenay Hut with lights on the outdoor tree set the tone. Amazing Inside, the cabin was perfect. Rustic, but very tasteful. The cabin had everything we needed. The beds were cozy, the wood stove very warm. The shower has great water pressure. The dining table was perfect for crafts and Christmas dinner. The open floor plan allowed us to all be together and still have our space. Great wifi. Even though we were only a few hundred meters from the road, we felt like we were in the middle of the forest. Inside, Guy had set up a huge tree as well. Great location for getting first tracks at WH2O. (About 35 minutes to base). We were sad to leave and hopefully we will be back! Thank you!

Beautiful

Heavenly beds and in-floor heating, great kitchen, super quiet, sauna was perfect, the whole family enjoyed very much

Excellent

Great hide away

Images

Definitely a keeper!

What a great place to stay: charming and cosy in the winter and not difficult to access in the snow. The large living/dining space was comfortable and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed. Very quiet! The beds were comfy - just make sure you are not an active sleeper if you choose one of the top bunks. Internet and phone access available but occasionally spotty. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Guy!

Amazing hidden gem

The cabin was everything I could have asked for. Located between Nelson and Salmo, it also gave a great location for sightseeing and hiking. With internet available in the cabjn, it had everything we wanted or needed. Awesome place to stay

Awesome!

Beautiful, spacious, warm.. Beautiful scenary, tons of wood.... Perfect! Just wished we couldve stayed for a month!!!

Beautiful Location

4 of us pulled into paradise. The cabin was nice and clean. The owner was very accommodating as well. Only reason for the 4 stars was because we really missed having an electric hot tub. BUT please do not let it affect your decision. I would book this cabin again next time I'm in the Kootenays.

Great Change of Pace

We arrived at the Huts after staying in a luxury rental, and returned to luxury afterward at the conclusion of our vacation, and we all unanimously chose the Huts as our favorite place to stay. It was simple and rustic. We enjoyed sitting around the wood stove in the evenings, and playing games and eating together at the pine table. The wifi was appreciated but the lack of a television meant that we spent more time being a family. There was a sled outside that provided hours of entertainment (and we were all adults!) It was fun chopping the wood, which was plentiful, and the outdoor wood-fired hot tub was worth the effort to fire it up. The location was ideal for us as we skied at Whitewater and Red Mountain. Nelson is a fun destination for shopping and eating out. The owner was friendly and the process was easy. We will be back I'm sure.

Great Family accomodation

I took my 3 grandkids, ages 9 and 15, and my daughter and her husband to stay for a week, to ski at Whitewater Ski club. Although there was no TV, which was not missed, Wi Fi allowed the kids to entertain themselves when necessary, but we played board games cards, read, & enjoyed the fireplace. The cabin was open ,clean, with good kitchen facilities, sleeping was perfect, with 2 big bedrooms with queen size bunks, kids on top, parents and Grandpa on lower level. We enjoyed the wilderness surroundings, yet close to Highway to Nelson and Ymir and the ski hill. The large table and eating area allowed us, and my son and friend to join us with lots of room to relax and enjoy our meals and games. We look forward to returning to Kootenay huts again. Also the cost of the accommodation was reasonable and worth it. Guy was available for any problem we may have encountered, and did so when we needed his help.

Amazing stay!!

I came to the Kootenay Huts for a one month get-away where I was after peace and quiet set among mountains and trees. I was not disappointed! This was a beautiful spot with everything I could have asked for. The cabin was exceptionally clean and cozy. Although there was a wood burning stove with ample firewood, I hardly needed to have a fire given the in-floor heating that kept the place warm. There was ample space for just me and a few friends that joined me for one of the weekends. I really loved the fact that it was possible to compost and recycle during my stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and the owners even had a few spices and supplies available. There was some road noise audible at the cabin even though it is not terribly close to the highway but that is mostly during the day and at night very little can be heard. There are also walking trails fairly close by if you care to venture out. My only caution is if you are visiting in the winter months, have a vehicle with good snow tires. This area seems to get a lot of snow fall and the cabin could be difficult to access without them (I learned from experience LOL). Very wonderful place...would highly recommend it.

Kootenay Huts

Hard to find words to describe how beautiful this place is. Very quite, secluded. Lots of privacy. We stayed in December during Christmas holidays. Winter in that part of BC is just fantastic. Lots snow. There is plenty of space on the property to do snowshoeing or just enjoy evening walks. There are cross country skiing and hiking trails nearby. We also enjoyed our daily walks to Ymir which is 10 minutes walk from the cabin. . It is a small town with friendly people, small coffee shop and an old hotel where you can enjoy dinner and live music on Friday nights.

Great home away from home

The cabins are spacious and comfortable. Great secluded property, and when the hot tubs going that's quite a treat at the end of the day.

A wonderful place for families and friends

We spent the spring break in Kootaney Hut. It was a relaxing fun filled vacation. We skied at Whitewater and Red mountain, biked at wet land, seeing so many birds and wild animals. Ainsworth Hot Spring is close by too... We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. It was awesome.

Perfect! Just what we wanted.

We found the cabin to be very clean, comfortable and relaxing. All the descriptions and information was as stated, so there were no surprises. The location is great, spent the first week of July there with friends, hiking and enjoying the towns of Nelson and Salmo and their farmers markets. Ymir is a special little village with a great history. I highly recommend the Kootenay Huts for a peaceful get a way.

We loved it!

Everything was wonderful - we appreciated the proximity to skiing and outdoor activities, the fully equipped kitchen and all of the wood finishings and furniture. The cabin was cozy and comfortable - we will be back!

Great Cabin

This Cabin was perfect for a snowboarding trip/getaway. Guy was great and helped us with whatever we needed!

Just like home

I've stayed here twice over the past few months, for rest and to deal with some personal issues. I made absolutely the right choice. The cabins are roomy, tidy and well appointed. Their location is private and secluded yet close to town. Overall I rate this place very highly, and will certainly stay here again the next time I find myself in this neck of the woods.
