Because we love spending time here, we have completely remodeled this historic cottage adding all the comforts of home. Past guests tell us that the clean, comfortable house and proximity of the lake exceed their expectations. The panoramic views of Lake Erie from the kitchen, living room and dining room are amazing. Upstairs are 3 private bedrooms with original hardwood floors and an updated full bathroom.
The lakefront deck and large yard invite guests outside with a fire ring at the water's edge. Every season brings different birds including bald eagles, purple martins, cranes and ducks. You can fish or swim from the property using stairs leading into the water. Meticulously maintained and cleaned by the owners, the house is nicely furnished with special attention to bedding, linens, bath and kitchen so you feel right at home. We rent only to non-smokers over 25 years old.
Located on a private lane with more barefoot vacationers than cars. A sandy, state nature preserve beach is within walking distance and a mile-long public sandy beach is 2 miles away. Explore many other nearby Lake Erie beaches using the State of Ohio guide to beaches. Budget Travel rated Huron, Ohio one of America's Coolest Small Towns in 2015. Conveniently located one hour from Cleveland, 20 minutes from Cedar Point and 35 minutes from Marblehead.

Beautiful little cottage right on the water. Very relaxing!
Our family just wanted a weekend away from our busy lives. This was the most relaxing weekend. My 6 year old son loved all the board games available. He also enjoyed picking up the binoculars and watching the ducks and boats on the lake. The house is exceptionally clean and fully furnished. We would love to come back during warmer weather.

Perfect Getaway!
And the winds blew and Blew and BLEW! But, it did not detract from our visit at all. My sister (from Denver) and I had a wonderful time reminiscing and catching up while watching the whitecaps crash against the shore. We watched some freighters out on the lake. There were bald eagles flying in spite of the wind - awesome! The cottage was spotless but did not in a way that made us feel like we had to "walk on egg shells". We never felt like we were in someone else's home. It just felt like home. The cottage had everything we could have possibly needed. In short, we Loved it! Nice property with a great view!
We rent a house every year to spend time at Cedar Point with our kids after school is out. We have rented several places and have been disappointed. This property is a gem. It was clean and was well stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and pans. Beds and sheets were comfortable. The view was amazing and you can see sunrises and sunsets. We took time to watch the birds including the bald eagles that visited. Owners were very accommodating. We will be renting this house again.

Great cottage with amazing views. Great way to celebrate a birthday.
The cottage was a great place to celebrate my birthday with my friends. The kitchen is well equipped and the view is great. I had one of the bedrooms that overlooked the lake and i was able to open the window a bit to hear the waves. We made a fire in the fire pit by the water and had s'mores. We were amazed by the Bald Head Eagles and the Golden Eagles that perched on a nearby tree. Thank you for sharing your cottage that was great for all of us. Have a wonderful season.

Outstanding Lake Erie Getaway
This cottage was very clean and beautifully maintained. It feels surprisingly spacious. Great views of the lake from indoors and from the deck. Four of us stayed three nights, but it would be comfortable for at least two more people. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. You can walk to the next neighborhood with only a brief walk along the main highway. Grocery is only three minutes' drive, and a large shopping area is 15 minutes away. Owners were exceptionally helpful, providing extensive information about local attractions etc.

Wonderful stay and beautiful view!
I would definitely recommend this wonderful cottage. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Plenty of space and extremely well stocked. Neighbors were very nice too. If you are looking for some R&R, this is it. If you're looking for things to do, it's all nearby. There are clean beaches, Cedar Point, wineries, Downtown Vermilion with quaint shops and lots of food options. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful cottage with spectacular Lake Erie views
The cottage is beautiful, the Lake Erie views are spectacular. We saw a pair of mature bald eagles pretty much every day in the same tree that is to the left rear side of the rental property. We met and talked with the owner's, they are really nice. It is a quiet place where you can relax outside and enjoy the views. We highly recommend staying at this charming Lake Erie waterfront cottage.

Amazing Lake Erie
Had a wonderful trip! Loved how the whole back of the house had a beautiful view of Lake Erie. Very calm & relaxing. One day we had rough windy weather that caused the waves to spray up over the rocks. Great sight to behold. Went to see the lighthouse and enjoyed the whole area around there. Nice area to walk around and see the boats. House was very clean and neat. Bedrooms were very cozy and were like being in a cottage. Also got to see bald eagles two houses down. They were perched high up in the tree hunting for fish. What a amazing thing to get to see!

Very clean and comfy, lots of sweet little touches that made us feel at home.
We had a 3 days girls (cousins) weekend. The weather was pretty chilly but we didn't let that ruin anything. Lots of deck sitting and eagle watching wrapped in blankets and coffee or wine in hand. The house was just perfect with all the necessities of home, and the view was breathtaking! Very nice, quiet neighborhood too.

Cozy lakefront home with beautiful views!
A beautiful place with all the comforts of home! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed after we were snowed in due to winter weather. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the stunning lakefront views, including bald eagles. Karen was extremely helpful, gracious and accommodating when bad weather required us to extend our stay by an extra night. The home was very clean and updated throughout. I would definitely recommend this home and hope to visit again!

My husband and I had a really great time. The property is well kept both inside and out. The view is exactly as described-AMAZING! We saw the eagles daily. Kitchen had everything we needed, including chilled beer glasses in the freezer(they really did think of everything). Nicely decorated and bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. Thanks!!!
